My ISP is completely fucking useless. Countless times in a day, my interweb will just flatout quit, the ADSL light on my modem shuts off, blinks, then eventually comes back on, or I get lag so bad that I can't do anything. They've sent a number of technicians out, changed our modem twice, and still, we get problems here. I'm right pissed off at their incompetence to fix the problem (they've even gone through the wiring in my house) and I'm wondering if there's anything I can do on my end to make my interwebs a little more stable, or if there's possibly something running on one of the two machines in the house that's fucking things up.
I'd appreciate any tips and possibilities I can look into, as I'd rather not have to change my ISP if possible. As far as I know, all the other available ISPs in town have upload/download rates, and I'd rather avoid that (unless it's nigh impossible to use 60gb of bandwidth in a month from someone who browses a lot, torrents infrequently, but plays a lot of online games)
