I have this nasty Firefox spyware that opens pop-under ads in IE. If I just browse in IE, no pop-under. It only happens in Firefox. I have both Spybot and Ad-Aware, but neither are picking this thing up. Sugguestions? Anyone having similar issues? Has anyone walked a mile in my shoes and conquered this demon!? HALP!?
Also, I have the official 4Chan Firefox extension. Could this be what's causing the trouble?
Thanks, guys.

I doubt that the 4chan extension is causing that problem. I used the 4chan extension for over a month and that never happened to me (I installed linux, so I use Konqueror now).
If it gets really bad, back up your bookmarks and your extensions and reinstall FF.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, and that didn't do squat. I uninstalled IE7, but that still left IE6. It turns out uninstalling that is a lot of trouble. It needs to be repaired so the original setup/uninstall file is put back in place, and in order to do that I need my original XP CD which I currently don't have on me! So right now, that's not an option.
I went in and commando-deleted a bunch of hidden cache and cookies left in IE6, but alas, I still have the pop-under. I reinstalled IE7 'cause why the hell not, and yes, I still have the problems.
I'm gonna go in Rambo style and see if I can clear it myself, but as of right now, I've made mum progress in getting rid of this thing. This is really pissing me off...
System Restore. The only thing that XP added that I ever liked.

xbox360 would be a really awesome console if it didnt have so many fuckin shitty faulty errors. my friend had to send his xbox 3 times already to fix it. so for now xbox360 is a heap of shit.
no opinion on ps3 or wii for now

Well I am not an "xbox." You have no right to call me that if I made mistakes. This site should have some rules about harrassments, threats, and name calling. I am still in the need of more help in that regards
Ah, I used System Restore and I maxed out the security settings on IE since I don't use it, and one or the either did the trick, because I'm not seeing it anymore.
Thanks guys.
Also, I'm a complete Linux noob, and I don't really feel like putting in the time to understanding how to make everything run properly. I hear Ubuntu is good though.
