My computer is an eMachines from 2004 and for a while now I've been having this problem with my speakers where they just stop playing music, sound, whatever until I fuck with the volume knob. I'm actually not sure if it's the speakers or the computer. Anyone know what the problem is/how to fix it?

Ever check to see if the power cable was plugged in all the way?

The wiper arm on the potentiometer for the volume knob is only making intermittent contact.
Therefore, it's lupus.
