Acrobat files too big

Making 2 page acrobat files that end up 8 mb, how can I fix it so they're smaller?  They're just pages with text, no pictures.
The googles, they do nothing.

Stop being gay and distribute text/plain. If you absolutely need rich text (and it's not because you want it to be dark magenta Comic Sans MS text), use HTML. Don't fuck your readers with PDFs.
