DVI-D only works as a secondary monitor?

Name: Anonymous 2007-04-18 3:16 ID:xkDvDk0i

So my monitor has a VGA cable and a DVI-D cable, and it seems that my DVI-D cable only works as my "secondary screen". Is it suppose to be like this? Is there anything I am doing wrong? If I switch my monitor to digital mode and my display controls are on screen #1 it just stays in Digital power saving mode. Ah btw I have an LG L196W 19" Widescreen LCD monitor.

I have a Radeon 9250 if that helps any. I've searched for an answer but LG's site doesn't address the problem (it doesn't address much). I have tried unplugging the vga cable from the monitor, restarting with just the dvi-d cable plugged in, seems like everything, and if it's not set to the secondary monitor then it just stays in power saving mode.

Yeah I know my video card is old, and shit but nothing I can do about it until I have enough cash to build an awesome computer which will be in about a month.

Please halp 4chans. I just got a vga cable for my dreamcast that I want to hook into my monitor, and this fucking secondary monitor thing is bugging the shit out of me.

Damn installed the Omega drivers and it fixed it. Nevermind.

Don't change these.
