Paranoid freak. You realise OS X is a closed source OS, right? For all you know it might be sending every keystroke you ever typed to Apple each time you click "Software Update".

There would be a huge scandal if this software shared any significant information with the developer if it was not activated as "stolen". There isn't a huge scandal yet - if you're so sure there's a group of shady men in a dark room giggling at the 4chan threads you click on and stealing your CP, why not run a packet sniffer on the app and sue for millions?
