External hard drives

I want to buy an external hard drive to supplement my laptop's poor storage space (I want to be able to store all my music on my computer at once), but I don't know what brands are best. I'm thinking I want one between 160GB and 300GB.

Any suggestions?

Get one of Western Digital's My Books. I have a WD My Book Premium 500GB and it's fukken win.

Agreed. Got a 250GB. WDs are reliable, the enclosure doesn't look like shit, it is nowhere near noisy (but still noticeable), and it isn't overpriced.
Note that it isn't USB powered so you'll need a power outlet to use it.

I've had the My Book Premium 500 gig as well along with another 250 gig both from Western Digital. Every drive I own is WD and has never failed me.

Don't change these.
