Preventing xterm from closing

Name: Anonymous 2007-03-30 8:02 ID:VZO8yhWU

Hi everyone.

I'm using the newest version of xterm and icewm window manager on Debian GNU/Linux. I have set up multiple workspaces and xterm is normally open on workspace number 1. My problem is that whenever I want to terminate some programs on other workspaces I keep closing xterm accidentally with the Alt + F4 keyboard shortcut. Is there any way to "lock" xterm, to prevent it from closing or to get it to ask me for confirmation before closing? If possible please do not sugest using any defferent window managers / terminals, I'd like stick to the ones I prefer. :-)

Any help will be greatly apperciated!

Sorry, I guess I haven't explained my problem properly and it seems to be causing confusion. :-(

I use Alt + Ctrl + Left/Right to switch between desktops and Alt + F4 to close stuff. I'm used to this shortcut, it was set up this way by default on icewm (seriously), IT DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH ANYTHING.

The problem is: let's say I have 5 firefox windows open + some program running on xterm I really don't want to interrupt - In order to close all 5 firefox windows I have to press the CLOSE SHORTCUT (whether it's Alt + F4 or not does not matter) 5 times. If I accidentally press it 6 times all the data in xterm is lost and I have to retrieve it from backup files.

Sorry again.
