video playback has "burnt" colors

Ever since I installed the new C&C demo and Battlefield 2142 demo(I've since uninstalled them), sometimes when I play any video on any video player, the colors appear "burnt."  Everything's really dark, yet some reds show up hot pink for som reason.  I have dual monitors, and when the video pops up on my secondary monitor the colors are perfectly fine.  What the hell has happened, and how do I fix it?

format and reinstall, ha!

Option 1: The colour settings on the graphics driver of your primary display are borked.  Load up driver configuration and reset to defaults.

Option 2: The graphics driver of your primary display is borked.  Uninstall and reinstall fresh copies.

Option 3: The graphics card or the monitor itself is borked.  Replace defective hardware with good hardware.

Option 4: Learn to like hot pink.
