I cant get on the internet with new computer!

Its built into the motherboard no worries there, I just cant get it going! I entered in the IP and DNS settings that this machine also has and then *PING* "You're connected" message thingy appears with the little icon of 2 computers in the tray. So I think great and try to access my e-mail. But no luck! I can send data, but cannot recieve! And the computer cannot see a problem! All signs show it is connected and there is no problem, but I cannot receive any damn data!

It is connected to a router. Also connected to the router is my old computer which I'm still using for the internet. I've put in a laptop doing the same thing I've done now and there was no problem. But it seems my new computer just wont take the data. I cant even put in the IP address of the router into the internet explorer to change settings on my router!

Any suggestions?

Just used dhcp, reset your router, repair your connection, and go for it

Try pinging 127.0.0.1
If it fails then its your NIC which is having problems.

My motherboard is web2.0 compatible. It also has an onboard blogosphere and is scaleable due to it's Enterprise level Ajax support!
