What's so fun about massive ghosting, distorting colors depending on what angle you look at the monitor, a single crappy resolution, dead pixels, etc.?
They have different strengths. CRT's strengths are in image quality. LCD's strengths are not, other than whatever is a quality of being a digital display (discrete pixel access and screen geometry) - but then it shares those qualities with other digital display technologies that look better than LCD.
LCD is auto-fail unless you need thin/light/cheap. Don't get me wrong, though - lots of people need thin/light/cheap and don't give a shit about image quality.
