ISP fucking me over?

Due to a recent low in my connection speed I decided to take a speed test at dslreports.
I got this message:
Warning: ISP up/download compression was detected.

What the fuck does that mean?
              

it means that a isp is not is doing well for what reason the cables are more next possibly un-workable.

i had this on NTL uk before
but then again the line became gradually unusable slowly for months till finally it wouldnt connect at all

so we just changed to BT UK and have no connection issues at all, no slowdown nothing, its a slower line but its great, never dies either

just NTL kept trying to charge for it after cancelling on record months ago

suggest to your isp that a kernel recompile should fix it
