USB flash drive disk to boot linux

Name: Anonymous 2007-01-08 21:18

I have a generic 1gb flash drive. I want it to boot a linux distro on my Windows XP computer. I've changed my bios to read the flash drive before my hard drive. I put the linux iso onto the flash drive. I restarted my computer. Nothing special happens. What do i need to do to get this linux iso on my usb flash drive to load?!
