d-link router problem

When I connect to an ssh server through my d-link router, the shell periodically stops responding.  whatever I type still gets sent to the server, but nothing shows up on my screen.  If I bypass the router, this problem does not occur.  Any suggestions?

how do you know stuff gets to the server? also, your client might be screwed. get a new client if you run windows
