bird keeps turning off computer

I have a bird that my girlfriend and I rescued (fell out of the nest when he was too young to have feathers or open his eyes). A house sparrow. He just kind of lives with us and has his run of the place.

Well, he just found the little button-thing on my laptop that turns off the screen backlight and he won't stop pressing it. He does it seriously every chance he gets.

How do I keep a bird off my keyboard, /comp/?
