NDS and laptops?

Name: Anonymous 2006-12-28 7:51

I've been reading in a few forums that people have been able to use the wifi cards in their laptops as AP's to allow their DS's to connect through it.

Can this actually be done? Does anyone know any guides/files I can download to get it working?

Depends on the card in the laptop. 99% of laptops will not work with this - the only computers I've ever successfully used were Macbooks (Powerbooks? Something...) with the AirPort card. Those seem to run DSes just fine.

As for a guide? I found one a year ago for the Macbook, which I could paste after work if that'd help you.

Nah it's ok.
I have a broadcom card inside my laptop.. been trying to get SoftAP working on it but no luck. The closest I've been able to get with it was Ad-hoc... my DS detects it, but can't connect, even if internet is shared to it.

Oh well.. I guess I'll have to spend money -_-

Don't change these.
