msvcr7.dll

I formatted my laptop yesterday and I'm reinstalling all of my apps. However, when I try to install either Quicktime Alternative or Real Alternative, I get an error saying that msvcr7.dll can't be found. I didn't have this problem previously.

You probably have to install or update your .net framework. http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/netframework/aa731542.aspx and grab the redistributable package

You might be able to just download that dll (msvcr70.dll? msvcr71.dll?) and throw it in the same folder as the application, skipping the .net update, but I wouldn't recommend it.
