Core temp: Is this normal?

Im running intel core 2 x6800
According to Core Temp, the machine idels around 44 C. I assume that is fine but when I go to play a game, it soars up to 74ish C. I believe the tempJunction for this chip is 85 C but I'm not very knowledgable in these sorts of things.

Am I fine or do I have heating problems? I tried googling this but all I end up with are over clockers talking about stuff I don't really understand :(

My Geforce 6200 idles around 44 C these days with cold weather. Back in September it was around 55 C, and in July (when there was a heatwave) it idled around 60 C. It gets up to around 85 C when I play games.
