torrent noise

When i close my torrent client the others seem to still try to connect to my end and take away my bandwidth as zonealarm's vsmon.exe blocks them and this can take atleast half an hour or so. It may reduce my bandwidth by about 30kb/s even. How the heck can I come around this.

change your ip

i would rather use something else if possible since changing ip has other consequences also.

use a better torrent client

Close your torrent program approximately 1/2 hour before you would normally do so.

stop using utorrent - especially now that it's been sold out - because you'll never be sure what that 'report back' function is actually sending and to whom.

i'm using azureus by the way.

stop using azureus - especially now that it's bloatware full of shit with no added functionality over utorrent.

use utorrent 1.6, also switch to kerio personal firewall 2.15.
