Display problems

Name: Anonymous 2006-12-14 22:11

I do not know very much about computers. I am using a laptop. I recently formatted it, and it is running fine. Now though, everything is "flat" due to the fact that I can not get widescreen resolutions. At first I also had no sound because I did not have the audio drivers installed, so I found them on Dell's site (it is a Dell, xps m140). But I can not find anything helpful for fixing my display. Can someone tell me what I need to be looking for exactly?

Ok, so I was going to redirect you to some meme or post some Yoshinoya, but you caught me in a good day, so I'll be helpful. This doesn't happen too often so I hope you'll appreciate my effort. (It's not that I'm lazy about typing as you can see, I'm just lazy about not being a troll. But nevertheless.)

You can download fine drivers from http://www.ngohq.org (if .org doesn't work try .com). Look for the NGO optimized drivers. If you want ATI drivers, look for the "CP" (Control Panel) versions instead of the "CCC" (Catalyst Control Center) versions. Get the newest out of what you can and want to run. Remember to completely uninstall your existing drivers (from add or remove programs), then rebooting, before installing the new drivers. Good luck.

OMG OMG I was helpful and serious. I still can't believe it.
