HUEG Log File is Motherfucking HUEG

Name: Anonymous 2006-12-14 9:26

So I'm running OSX86.

OS on one 10GB partition, OS backup on another, data on yet another.

All of a sudden, the system crawls to a halt because I ran out of disk space and it's asking me to kill some programs to free up memory.  Ends badly.  Had to fucking cut the power.

Boot up, find out the file /private/var/log/windowserver.log (now windowserver_last.log) ballooned to 3.2GB.  And now that I think about it, the last gig and a half was within the last few minutes, but before that it must have been ~2GB for a while.

Looking at it via the tail command I find the problem.  It's the same line repeating over and over again, literally hundreds of times per second:

Dec 14 01:21:07  [2679] (ipc/rcv) invalid name: CGXRunOneServerPass: mach_msg (gServiceSet) failed (last RPC: LaunchAppRequestWithAuditInfo)

The only differences between them are the timestamps and the number in the bracket will be one of two other values occasionally for a while, but this one seems the most common.

Two questions:

1)  WTF is this and how do I get it to stop?
2)  Shouldn't there be an option somewhere to limit log file sizes?

Some googling has revealed a couple other occurances (all of which on legit hardware), but no one seems to know what causes it.  Any ideas?  For now I just deleted it, but I'd like to make sure it doesn't happen again while I'm doing something important (in before lecture about doing important things in an OS on totally unsupported hardware via h4x).
