So I went into Mozilla Thunderbird and opened an e-mail with .zips I sent to myself on gmail (transferring files between computers the hard way).
As soon as Thunderbird saves the .zip file, Windows XP Remote Assistance window pops up.
Could I have unwittingly pressed a (Windows Key + [something]) combination to do this? I googled for possible hotkeys that open the Remote Assistance window but found nothing -- I don't think Remote Assistance has any hotkeys to open it.
I'm behind a firewall and scan for viruses and spy/ad-ware frequently with the latest definitions. I'm scanning manually right now just to be sure, but I doubt I have anything (and no, I don't warez).
Also, netstat didn't show any connections to any unusual sites. And I don't use Internet Explorer...
