Recommend an online hardware vendor?

Name: Anonymous 2006-12-05 17:48

I'm going to need one kinda soon because my computer's RAM seems to have developed a defect. I know about newegg.com and tigerdirect.com, although I don't know which is better, or if there's a third more reliable than either. And while I'm buying new RAM, I could also use a new motherboard and CPU to replace my 416MHz Pentium II.

Newegg.  The End.

I recently ordered from both and had no problems. Shop for the best price.

I always buy from NewEgg. Great prices and excellent shipping time. Takes 2-3 days to get from them in California to me in New Hampshire. I'm kinda sad they use UPS instead of FedEx now though.

Quite true.  NewEgg isn't as good as years past (slower processing, slower shipping) but in my opinion it's still better than most places.

"Mommy, the big kids all have better computars than me, can I get a big kid computar?"
"No honey, we're gettin' a Dell. Just accuse them of being elitist faggots for caring or knowing more than you do about their hardware"

On the off chance that you live in Canada, NCIX.com
They ship out of BC, so you don't get hammered with a brokerage fee at the border, like you do if somebody in the states ships you something with UPS.  Also, if you live in Ontario, you don't pay PST.

That aside, they've given me awesome customer service in the past.

Don't change these.
