Xbox 360 and PC

I can't get my PC to stream media to my 360. I don't like Windows Media Player 11, don't use Zune, or have a Media Center PC, so my only option is Windows Media Connect. Xbox 360 is the only thing on the shared list, and when I test the connection it always stops at 'PC Selected'

Network Adapter - Wired
Wireless Network - N/A
IP Address - Confirmed
PC Selected - Failed

My internet, PC and 360 are all connected to the same router. I remember having to open specific TCP ports for uTorrent to work, but when I tried to open the ports needed for my 360, it gives me an error that another application is using one of more of the ports. Although that seems like the obvious problem, I can't be so sure. Even with Windows Media Connect not launched, it gives em the same results with I test the connecting. Can anyone help?

Nevermind, problem fixed. Weird though, when I first tried there was something wrong, and I have to sign off Xbox Live in order to test my connection (for some reason), and after all the crap I tried, the solution was having to sign in to Xbox Live before trying again. Didn't think I'd need to sign into Live in order to connect my console to my PC.

I'm disappointed however of how the 360 can only play and list .wmv files. Can't get it to view all of my pictures either, I don't know what the discrimination is there.

Now I'm looking for a program that can convert 'Video Clips' to wmv's

Xbox 360 only plays faggy DRM formats. Yet another reason to work on cracking it.
