Why would you want to store a JPG or PNG file in a PDF? Are you stupid? Just distribute the fucking JPG or PNG file; if your customer/buddy wants/needs a fucking image, give him a fucking image. PDFs are for losers, idiots, adobefags, and DRMfags.
