closing CD drives?

Hey you know how there's 2 diffrent kinds of CD/DVD drives (well there are many kinds, but you know what I mean);

a. the kind where you push the button and the part you put the cd in comes out, you press the button again and the part you put the cd in goes in

b. the kind where you press the button and the whole front of the drive flops down (rendering the button useless), and the part where you put the cd in comes out

Maybe this is a stupid question, but what is the best way to close the second types? I guess the only way is to push the part where you put the cd in a little, but won't that mess it up?

No, both are essentially the same drive, and you can close them either by pushing the button or (gently) pushing the tray. Pushing the tray will have no adverse effects. The only difference between the common sliding tray drive and the variety with the opening flap is the plastic fascia itself.
