Is there any way to capture video in Windows Movie Maker from a DVD playing on a software DVD player such as, PowerDVD 5 instead of having to hook a DVD playing device up to your computer?

Just rip the DVD (or the scenes you want) from it using ripping/encoding software (ImTOO DVD Ripper is very simple to use).
