This laptop i bought on an impulse buy. :(
longURL is loooong.....auction number is #250048447640.

its got a 8.9" screen, and although a larger screen would be nice, i opted for this one because of its small size. Built-in wireless and a integrated fingerprint reader are a plus. other than that, its not much more than a really, really tiny laptop. (2.2lbs, or about 1.0kg according to laptopmag.com) ...wait...1kg? that cant be right...thats not including the battery, right?

MSRP is 1599, google puts the thing at 1200-1500USD, i paid 1017 after shipping and tax.

and best of all, finger-sensitive touchscreen! no more losing that goddamn expensive tablet pen!!!

i may not be proud of my willpower (or lack of), but my laptop says "yeah, its tiny. so what?!"

im happy either way, so tell me if i failed for buying this lilliputian laptop. i'll post again once i actually have the thing in my hands. will it satisfy my need for portable weeaboo faggotry? will i drop to the ground in a mounrful VERY NO?!?! stay tuned! :)

OP here.

thanks for the input, >>4! im gonna put it through its paces during the 90 day warranty and not leave feedback till im sure 110% that it works. mainly i wanted a super-light computer to take back and forth to work and school, the tablet feature was more of an afterthought. it kinda irks me that theres no optical drive, but i have a spare DVD burner and a IDE-->USB enclosure. worse come to worse, i can always share one of my optical drives on the network. :)

Things to ensure:
1) make sure unit can boot from a USB device.
2) ensure hdd has no minute errors on it that would cause trouble. (although a 30gb laptop drive isnt that hard to replace)
3) ensure screen is in good dquality.
4) ensure "cosmetic flaws" do not interfere with usability (i.e. missing plastic covering the hinge, severe enough damage to be noticable from a fair distance away, no deep gouges or dents.)
5) ensure unit comes with all accessories needed. (Ac adapter, battery, Restore CDs)

any other things i should look out for in a refurb? it's fujitsu-direct (which is why i had to pay tax), so its not like im putting my faith into "some guy", but you can never be too careful. thanks world4ch!
