Standard serifs.

Caslon, Century, Garamond, Palatino, Times.

Any others? I want to collect every traditional, classic, and generally standardly sized-and-styled serif font for use on papers. Often the modern, popular ones have irregular spacing or facing.

So what others sets could be considered of a Serif Standard? Hearty thanks for any more ideas.

Umm.. Georgia? More of a web font but it looks fine printed.

I use Hoefler Text in anything I want to look good. You sound like a Macfag from your fonts list, so go check it out.

Oh, and I also downloaded "Day Roman" and "Gentium" a while back, they're free if you dig around the Google. All pretty nice serif fonts.

Don't change these.
