I'm a RETARD

Well, turns out that I don't have to do shit to get Kubuntu to have MPlayer as there is a convenient little installer program that will install it for me already waiting.  GUI MPlayer at that.  I'm a tard.  BUT!  It doesn't have codecs and when I try to put the codecs where they should go at /usr/local/lib/codecs/ the native unpacker program won't let me create the directory.  Something about permissions or something.

Also, the people who make MPlayer are incredibly smart retards for having all the controls in command line while the people who put together Kubuntu are full humans for making it so that even a tard like me can get most things to work.  Cheers to them.

I'm gonna see if VLC is in there somewhere because maybe it is useable by people who don't understand linux speak.

Do you know everything about how your car works?  Or all the other machines in your house?  It doesn't stop you from using them, does it?  It's the same with computers: you shouldn't have to be a programmer to work them.  Once again I salute the makers of Ubuntu and Kubuntu for realizing this.

Just like I expect a car to have a starter, alternator, spark plugs, and other various things I expect certain things out of a desktop environment.  I shouldn't have to hand crank my car and I shouldn't have to program to work my computer.

Also, VLC was in there and it's very user friendly.  Everything works now.  I also salute the makers of VLC player.
