Windows dies

Halp /comp/, my computer is broken :(

I'm using Windows XP w/ SP2. I start it up, and it runs fine, I POST normally but after the XP loading splash has been on for about 10 seconds, my screen just goes blank. If I try using "Last Known Good Configuration", the same happens, however if I use Safe Mode it boots fine.

I installed a new DVD drive recently, but that and getting the old DVD removed is the only changes I've made.

Boot into safe mode and check the event log to see what's causing the reboots.

Hmm, it seems that either system restore, deleting a handful of drivers and/or CHKDSK did the trick. Thanks anyway.
