Sound Problems

I have a HP ZV6000 laptop with integrated AC'97 sound. Occasionally, more and more frequently, the sound will suddenly, out of nowhere, start skipping/repeating - "Skippppppppppppp....rrrrreeeepppppp", etc.....I haven't found this problem anywhere else - how the heck do I fix it...? Nothing is wrong in Device Manager (No conflicts or anything), and yes, I have the latest drivers installed. This usually occurs in games, but lately it's managed to make it into Windows as well...

Deaf people don't have such problems.  Maybe you should look into what they're doing right and emulate them to the best of your ability.
