Setting up wifi with asus mobo adaptor

Name: Anonymous 2006-11-03 15:20

OK so this is the first time i set up a wireless lan, therefore i am bound to make a mistake somewhere. Theres this adaptor which can create a wifi connection, and i got the software installed, my laptop can see it, get an IP but something about DNS is missing. The wireless connections setup gets a default IP but i just make it obtain one automatically. Also, on my PC it says that my wireless con has limited or no connection, but since its suppose to work as the accesspoint i guess it doesnt matter. I got the lan cable inset.
Couldnt find any help over at asus' or google...  KTHXBY

I am confused. You should get a router.

Um.. make sure your computer is not connecting to its own wireless thing with this adaptor, that'd be stupid. Then.. make sure your network settings point the DNS Primary to the same IP as the gateway, which most likely is doing that DNS proxy thing.

Don't change these.
