Can't install oldere OS.

Name: Anonymous 2006-10-28 11:06

My really really old Toshiba Libretto, for some reason it's got Windows XP running on it, and it's painfully slow, I tried installing Win2k, but I just can't get into the BIOS no matter how hard I try.

Anyway to get past this? Please note that I've already tried all available key combinations for the BIOS.

There's a trick to this.
It's called "READ WHAT THE FUCKING BOOT-SCREEN SAYS".

It doesn't say anything, like I said, I've tried everything, I'm actually now looking for a way to do it WITHOUT going into the BIOS.

Or holding Esc while powering on (WHILE, not just after). I've come across that on Toshiba laptops.

try disconnecting hd, booting computer w/o hd, turning off computer and reconnecting hd.  might clear the pw
