It was the contractor's fault, but Jobs was a dick in his apology.

Turns out the contractor was retarded, lazy, and cheap, and had a Windows box formatting some of the iPods instead of dedicated hardware.  It's still unclear if the virus got there intentionally or accidentally, but it really wasn't Apple's fault.  After all, even the best QC can't catch EVERYTHING.  But Jobs definately is an irresponsible dick.
