Neighbors WiFi

Anyone using their neighbors non-encrypted Wi-Fi? If so, what is the legal risk in doing this? Is there even a law concerning it (In the US)? My speed is kinda pokey, and I'd like to supplement it, and that is an extremely easy way to do so. Hopefully there is someone with some knowledge somewhere on this board.

In a filthy country like the US, there is probably some stupid law keeping you from using your neighbor's Wi-Fi even if he's too stupid to encrypt it in some states.
