Browser multimedia problems

Some crap called "scvideo.exe" appeared on my PC while I was asleep and started screwing around with my computer.
I initially blocked it with ZoneAlarm and now deleted it...but now it's messed up a lot of things in both FF and IE. Animated .gifs now only show the first frame, mp3 files only load about the first 2 or 3 seconds of the clip, as if it's the entire thing, and others like Youtube videos skip right to the end and only start after I click play.

Any suggesstions on how to get things back to normal?
