On my Secondary IDE cable I have a Plextor DVD-R as a primary and a Seagate HD as secondary. When the pc boots up it stalls at the screen where ontrack loads. If I leave it alone long enough, hours, it will load, but access to that HD is extremely slow. If I replace the Plextor with another Seagate drive, it zooms right past that screen on boot up. Then access to both Seagate drives is normal. Prior to getting the second Seagate HD I wiggled the wires around and it work, but it's more or less chance that it worked. So what to do?
