Hi guys, I am having trouble extending my network at home.
for some time I've had two pcs connected with a crossover cable sharing an internet connection on one of the pc's. The PC which isn't connected to the internet has two ethernet cards. I recently bought a laptop and bought another crossover cable to connect to this computer and hopefully share the internet connection with the laptop too.
However, every time I try and connect the laptop to the second PC I get the "limited or no connectivity" message. This happens whichever of the NICs I plug the laptop into on the second PC. The laptop will connect fine to the first PC and share the internet connection. The second PC will connect to the first PC whichever of the NICs I use. It just seems to hate the laptop for some reason. Would it be easiest just to buy a hub and a bunch of regular cables?
thanks anon.
