So what exactly is the difference between a regular screen and a glossy screen on the macbook? I know that its supposed to allow for higher contrast on images, videos, and what have you. But does it effect how I do anything else, such as care for the screen or have any draw backs?

The only thing I've noticed about glossy screens is that they're a PITA with those fucking reflections. If there's any light in the background, it'll reflect off the screen.

can't confirm. many glossy screens are like that, yeah, but i never had problems with my macbook.
