glitchy wireless connetion

i just got a new modem/router? for my dsl it has 802 wireless support but when i use the wireless connection on my laptop it only works for about 3-5 min then i get no thruput and i have to click "repair" then it works and the process starts all over again. any idea what i have set wrong or whatever??

What's your signal strength? If it's high and you're getting dropped, your router is rebooting. This is a problem some D-Link models had (and likely other brands as well, since even with these problems D-Link make the only decent routers); upgrade the firmware and you'll be fine. In fact, upgrade the firmware regardless.

If it's low, move the damn router or don't try accessing it from down the street.
