browser wars.

pros and cons of each major browser-

internet explorer:
- pros: default browser on windows.
- cons: poor css support, security crap, almost 6 years old.

firefox:
- pros: extensions/themes, open source, decent rendering.
- cons: memory usage, umm.

safari:
- pros: amazingly fast, looks cool, passes acid2.
- cons: proprietary, not that customizable for the average user.

opera:
- pros: passes acid2 test.
- cons: slower than safari, bloated, has ads in the browser, costs money, proprietary, shoves a lot of useless features in your face [blog and my opera? no thanks], copied apple with the widgets.

Notepad:
- Pros: Extremely secure (no functioning links or javascript or images = ultimate security), educational (can see program source)
- Cons: Hard to read, rendering REALLY sucks, links must be activated manually

MS Word:
- Pros: Can edit and save pages.
- Cons: Will give such pages a serious case of hard gay.

Hex Workshop:
- Pros: I'll get back to you on that.
- Cons: ZOMG HEX.

Cat:
- Pros: Secure and fast.  Program takes up almost no memory and it produces output instantly.
- Cons: Same as Notepad but you can't scroll back (unless you use " | less" extension)

Ethereal:
- Pros: See absolutely all the secret hidden packets the server is sending. 
- Cons: YOU GONNA GET HEXED TENDERLY.
