Opera's been free of charge since September 2005 (v8.50) without ads.

If you have a storage Hard Drive, dump everything on there and reformat.  It probably couldn't hurt anyway--Windows installs tend to get bloated after a few months so I reformat every now and then just to have a fresh start (me being the lazy type, of course).  Even if you DON'T have a storage hard drive, I would reccomend burning all your crap and reformatting.  It will get rid of your problems, and you could probably stand a fresh start too.
