So I'm looking to get an mp3 player next week. I ideally wanna get either a 1GB or 2GB, and my max spending limit is going to be roughly $150.
What doth thou recommend? Anything from iPod to Zen is fine, I just want to know which is the one that will be durable and long lasting.

If you're still asking whether you should get an iPod or not, you're failing. You should start from the point that iPods suck like all of Apple's shit, so you want something better.

Yeah, go for it. I was much enamored of the aluminum casing when they first introduced it with the mini, and was bummed when they phased it out. It's smooth and cool to the touch, and feels a hell of a lot more durable/scratch resistant than the gloss plastic/metal combo they usually use. Good to see they've brought it back.

Get the 4gb nano, silver is a drab shitty colour and 2gb doesn't give you enough room to move. Also, consider the old nanos Apple has on sale right now - I think they have old 2gb nanos for $100 or something? Check the web store under specical deals. iPods shit all over the competition once you realise you'll never actually need a voice recorder and half-assed FM radio support.
If you want a microdrive-based player, you can probably get a 4gb for that price now.. I think it's the Creative Zen Vision M Micro Nano :W Professional Edition +Photo that you want in that case.

apple believes in moving on. they don't have fm radio support for the same reason that the first imacs didn't have a floppy drive.
you don't buy a fucking digital music player to listen to radio.

.. Yes. Did you read what I said? I'm an Apple fag and I support Apple's choice to omit the FM receiver.

>>7 iPods shit all over the competition
How is more expensive, less features, lower sound quality, shitty screen "shitting all over the competition"?
