I'MA USEIN MAH DS BROWSER!!!

Name: Anonymous 2006-09-16 17:09

well 4chan, I'm using the DS browser to write this... and basicly it's like AOL was turned into a DS cartridge...

However, it is far better than using IE on some shitty public computer.

so right now I'm bored so talk to me...

DOES YTMND WORK?!

If so, i'm totally getting the DS browser.

How are the load times?

I've mostly heared negative things about that.

Name: Anonymous 2006-09-16 18:23

the load times are ofcourse slower than if you were on a real computer, but mainly the only problem is with large are large quantitys of images...

if you wish the page to go faster, you can even turn images off with one of the buttons... (now making Geocities readable!)

I don't know how it compares to a PSP as I've never played one, but I am asuming the touch screen virtual keyboard and hand writing recognition is easyer for typing...

as for the YTMND, gimme a link and I'll check...

ok nevermind, found out what ytmnd is... and your answer is not definate, but mainly a no.

DS browser doesn't support java, flash, embedded sound or audio...

the forums should be fine, but I'm sure the above stated defeats the purpose...

PSP browser works quite well.  I'm sure typing with a touchscreen is lightning fast, but you can do well enough with the PSP if you've got a lot of experience with sending texts from a cellphone.  Image/layout wise, the PSP handles just great.  It can either display layouts in full, or try to intelligently scale them down to the PSP's screen width.  As for load times, they're noticably worse than my desktop, but much better than any other portable solution I've tried (PDA, cellphone, etc).  When they upgrade flash support to a newer version and add virtual keyboard/sound support, then I will be quite satisfied with it.
