Need help with SD card drive

I need some help, /b/. I had an SD drive in my laptop (Dell Inspiron 700m) and a SanDisc 1gig SD card that I wanna get some pictures off of. But when I put the card in, it doesn't even show any reaction, and I can't find the SD drive manually. Help plz

Is the SD thing in your device manager?
