iTunes 7 not working

Name: Anonymous 2006-09-13 0:32

I have Windows XP SP2 fully updated. I upgraded to iTunes 7 and have tried repair, deleted SC info, deleted all iTunes application data and My Music files (as directed). Tried to reinstall, restarted, iTunes still won't open.

I get the license agreement, Agree (and have tried saving before agreeing) then get an error box: http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/601/capturedhv2.jpg
(Text just in case image cannot be viewed)
The iTunes application could not be opened. An unknown error occured (0x666D743F).

I've checked the apple articles, nothing.

Any help is appreicated.

Yeah, I've gone through everything, manually deleted application data, uninstalled quicktime (as advised by other sites) and intalled/uninstalled seperately. I go back to 6.0.5 and works fine, but 7 just won't. Downloaded the setup file on a seperate computer (seperate ISP and OS), still not worked (to rule out file corruption. Uninstalled every program I have that may interfere, nothing.

I've contacted apple, but we all know that's about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

If anyone knows anything, once again, much appreciation if you know how to fix it.
