Display probs with a rear projection TV

Heres the prob black borders down both sides of the screen
Is there any way to get it to display full screen
its is connected via the PC in slot
i have tryed messing around with the settings (me be a bit of a noob with tec stuff)

If your TV is widescreen, no wonder why are you getting these borders. Try to set a widescreen mode, such as 1364×768 or something.
