Windows doesn't boot

Name: Anonymous 2006-09-06 2:01

Okay, first off, I'm already aware another thread exist with identical subject. This is, however, not the same problem.

I just bought a new processor, a new motherboard, a new graphic card and two new RAM. I plugged in my HDD to the SATA 1 connector, and powered the computer on. A POST message came up, and I was forced to choose between starting Windows in Safe mode and three or four other modes. You know what screen I'm talking about.

After I choose "Normal mode", Windows starts to load for half a sec, and then it reboots the computer. I can't even get into Safe mode; the computer reboots. What is the problem? I don't even get any error message.

The parts I'm using are; Intel Core 2 Duo E6400, Asus P5W DH Deluxe, Sapphire Radeon X1600XT, Corsair TWIN2X and a WD Raptor. They're all compatible with each other.

The disk doesn't have a problem with bad sectors, since it works flawlessly in junction with my older mobo. And BIOS doesn't have any problems in finding it.

Appriciate all the help I can get.

He's right.  When you get a new motherboard you ALWAYS have to install a new windows.  Don't even THINK you can get away with using your old windows with your new computer.  Backup everything to DVD or CD on your old compy and reformat that sucker.

Format won't erase your data

Don't change these.
