Direct X problems

when i try to install a game it says I need to update my direct x .. ok so that seems simple enough... I do the update and try to install the game .. and it still says i need to update direct x

umm.. HELP?

Didn't work in /g/. Some pussy cried that all the e-penis threads were being crowded out (or rather, pushed out the bottom of /g/ due to the lack of replies) by civil tech support threads. Now they'll never shut up about it.
